Even if she does come back, she'll be severely weakened, probably to her pre-Shinju fruit level. She's lost the Bijuu, Black Zetsu has been sealed, and the Gedo Mazou is now inside a moon.
Honestly speaking, I'm more interested in Hagoromo's Yin/Yang marks. Now I can't tell if that Yang mark is the Sun, or a Moon.

Black Zetsu was able to use portals with just her severed arm. So it's not an ability of the third.
Kaguya still has the chakra from the people trapped in IT along with Senjutsu. Which was stated to be greater than the Juubi. That is probably the chakra that makes up the Rabbit. So she only lost the tailed beast which isn't huge lost. Kaguya even before she fused with the tree was more powerful than Hagoromo.

If Kishi wanted teamwork he could have done this. Sakura didn't get a BM like the other Konaha 11 against Obito. This seems like a perfect time and her harming Kaguya would have made sense. Kakashi getting this would have been better than that asspull power up he got.
Have Obito use Perfect Susanoo against Kaguya instead of Kakashi
Again, better than that asspull. Have him die in battle too.
Mecha Battle
Rabbit Juubi vs. Ashura Mode Naruto, Perfect Susanoo Sasuke and Obito would been cool. However, Kishi denied us this.
All fails but Sexy no Jutsu saves the day
Kaguya kicks their asses and proves that she is threat. Naruto pulls out Reverse Harem no Jutsu as a last resort and it works! Kaguya gets a nosebleed and is temporally defeated. It shows that even through she is a powerful goddess she still falls prey to desires. It would have been funny and made more sense than what we got.

Pretty sure Akira Toriyama is finally going to give me what I've eagerly been awaiting since his mention on Namek, the first Super Saiyan in history, so Kishi you can give me a Ninja God from Space who makes Kaguya look like an insect.....but Madara actually planned it all from the start and the awakening of Kaguya served as a beacon to alert the Space God...to which Madara fuses with.
But he's defeated by a fusion of Sasuke an Itachi. The latter being brought back just from the sheer power of the Space God setting foot on the land cause he's so hax (like people are coming back to life left and right, no EDO tensei but straight up normal bodies and all)...An we find out Kimimaro is indeed related to Kaguya...and he's brought back with full health..and ends up being stronger than Kaguya but mainly serves as only to make the Space God get serious..which is when Madara appears and takes over..
I'd be happy. Final battle has to take place in space though, an make use of black holes..

Well even in Buddhist terms Hagoromo is "evil" since the use of external power (Chakra) to achieve enlightenment (peace) is called the Outer Path heresy (hence the Rinnegan has the Outer Path connotations) in direct opposition to the Inner Path which is the true path to enlightenment in Buddhist Orthodoxy.
