The Official Naruto series Thread

So the current filler is the Chunin Exams when the remaining Konoha 11 took it. Actually pretty nostalgic.

What are you guys' favorite location in the series?

I always liked Amegakure's Blade Runner-esque theme.

I liked the temple Sasuke fought Itachi in and the bridge where Sasuke fought Danzo.

Tbf Kishi seemed to forget Shino & Kiba existed during most of the war.

Kiba's tracking skills and his combat usefulness can kinda equal her out of combat usefulness. Her holding her own vs Asuma in h2h was dumb as f***

How is that dumb? Ever heard of training?

Asuma was dead, what makes you think her dad didn't train her in h2h? Also, she didn't anything special against Asuma, the whole time Chouji and Shikimaru had her back.

Through out the series, Asuma wasn't known for his over the top h2h skills. Now, if she had fought Gai and lasted a second, then I'll call bullshit.

Alright, so after watching the subbed version of the LAST, the similarity between Rinnegan and Tenseigan becomes pretty clear:

Recipe for Rinnegan:
Senju Chakra & Uchiha Sharingan

Recipe for Tenseigan:
Otsutsuki Chakra & Hyuuga Byakugan

This brings up a few questions, though. Most prominently, Hagoromo's Rinnegan can only be awakened if the Chakra of Asura's transmigrant synchronizes with the Sharingan of Indra's transmigrant.

So why was Toneri able to awaken Hamura's Tenseigan by implanting Hanabi's eyes? I mean, I suppose you could speculate that Toneri and Hanabi could be transmigrants of Hamura's children, but then again if anything it would be Hinata rather than Hanabi. (She is the "Byakugan Princess" and was stated several times to have directly inherited Hamura's chakra.) So it still doesn't quite add up, sadly.

Another thing is that all Otsutsuki are born with the Byakugan, but choose to seal their eyes in the Tenseigan altar. Does this mean that everyone in the Otsutsuki clan has the potential to awaken the Tenseigan, or perhaps a Hyuuga's "pure" Byakugan is required?

He did destroy those sound chunin in melee. Though going by the databooks, he's an all-arounder, *and* she fought him either in a stronger body or two bodies at once, and not for long in either case, so yea, makes sense she's good enough for that.

Forest of Dead Trees, Uchiha hideout, and the Island Turtle are the only ones I can recall right now.

Also the Tenseigan is stupid.

At least it closes up the power discrepancy between Hagoromo and Hamura.

Why is the Tenseigan stupid DP?

Do you think the two were equals at their respective peaks?

EDIT: Have you seen the Last's guidebook?

It looks generic. It sounds like a particular Inuyasha sword. It reeks of having a plot device nature. Its mechanics are apparently not explained properly.
How & why exactly is an Ootsutsuki's Byakugan different from a Main House Hyuuga's Byakugan, and why didn't Kaguya have it?

All valid reasons I guess.

God I dread the day my morbid curiousity gives in and I end up watching it.

I'm only thinking of watching it to see Sasuke & Hamura tbh, so I hope a good quality subbed version of Sasuke's meteor busting scene is available.

I wonder why the movie is considered canon? Did Kishi write it? Doesn't he write every movie?

^ I think this movie fall into the same category as the "Road to Ninja" flick. Usually the Naruto movie are non-canon.

So I take it "Ninjas in Space" is a bust?

It is canon apparently. It is the story of Naruto falling in love and getting married. A tangible connection to the canon.

Heh, in my Naruto RP, Orochimaru tricked Anko (the player controlled character) into helping him do a successful coup of Waterfall (Fu the Jinchuuriki is in charge, and she's cool, but she has Hidan-loyal-to-Oro as a bodyguard and pretty much has to accept an alliance with Orochimaru).

So now Orochimaru's being all, 'Water under the bridge Anko! We have a common foe in Akatsuki, if you want, I'll even help you train.' And the players are freaking out and arguing about whether to accept or not ^^

From what i read on it, Kaguya rally didn't need it. It only has the push/pull type attack, albeit at moon busting levels, and an amp to strength and speed. She already had these things in spades so what's the point of showing it? I guess a 3rd eyeball would have been cool.

I want to see Naruto go all out with his techs so I'm definitely going to watch it. I hear Hinata handles business too. It would be nice to see her have a good showing more than once.

I thought it was because it ties directly into the events after the war, but before the last manga chapter.

Hmm is there a character in this series that you didn't think much of at first but came to really like by the end?

^ Gaara comes to mind, but that was done so obviously by the author that I don't feel it counts.

Oh, Neji is a character that I didn't like at first that I found likeable later on. Would have been nice if the rest of the Konoha teams had been featured more.
