I miss kakashi in manga, what happened to him, why is that he didn't lead naruto & sakura in their mission? instead they replace an anbu for kakashi.

that's because when they (Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi) get a mission to rescue Gaara, kakashi use too much of his special eye, so he fainted and lose a lot of energy. He need to take a rest in the hospital for some time to restore his energy, so he can't lead them in their mission......
