USH'S GAME - Artwork

The pictures will involve, at most, the character's face. I'm not skilled enough (nor have the technology) to graft a person's head onto a Jedi's body or somethin' crazy like that.

Here's an example. I took a Geonosian from a scene in Attack of the Clones and put a lightsaber effect in there. Tada, it's Xeth!

Simple, but you get the point. Gives face to the character, I suppose. Seeing as Geonosians are generic, though, human characters will be more obvious. 😉

I liked this when I drew it, but after I finished it and scanned it I decided I didn't like it so much anymore. But it had been bugging me for a week so I had to draw it out. Yay for Photoshopped lightsabers 😄 But yes. Started out as a pencil sketch, which was then painted with watercolors, scanned, and (obvious) photoshop effects added. Took me 4 hours to draw and paint, total. Photoshopping the sabers took about 5 minutes 😆

😛 I posted another drawing of her I did a while ago...like sometime last May/June...in fact, I remember showing it to you before I had even posted it!

And Dexx, you want to go for realistic looking drawings? I can do that as well...I'm just too lazy and haven't had the time to draw anything recently. That was the first thing I drew for MONTHS. And I loathe photoshopping drawings because it always looks fake to me...

Not wanting to sound silly but that's because they ARE fake...

well there is only so much you can do in photoshop..the program is mostly for editing, afterall...
either way..i will always preffer hand drawn, rather then computer painting it. hope i'll find some time soon.

Well, some Photoshop effects are quite realistic looking. I used it to color a drawing that I did and it didn't look like CG, it looked like it had been painted with watercolors (which is how I generally color my drawings anyway). But in general, I'm horrid at actually coloring things in Photoshop, and adding PS effects to drawings generally doesn't look too great unless they're subtle.

Photomanipulations on the other hand...let's just say I spend waaaay too much time doing those and have gotten quite good at them. Lots of fun 😄 I actually took a photograph I took and manipulated it with PS and it wound up looking like half was a photo, and half was a painting. Pretty damn awesome.

yes...that's what it was meant for.....believe me..i've played with it a long time also 🙂
so effects are realistic as you say...but it may not look well when blended into a hadn drawing....it has to be subtle.
i'm not even sure whether or not to make the lightsaber in photoshop, or draw it myself.....the blade, that is. i'll prolly photoshop it
