Alright guys, as the mod that appointed the initial banning to Sauron, I feel I should be the one to handle your anger towards my actions and the actions that followed.
Quite simply, he broke some rules, repeatedly. Even after being warned several times, he would continue to give mods crap for doing their job and claim the site was a "dictatorship" because we have rules that need to be followed in order to keep any sort of sanity in these forums. Anyway, he disobeyed the rules, and we let it slip for the most part. But then I saw th eway he was disrespecting Kit for no good reason and I felt action needed to be taken. So I banned him for 3 days just to show him that he, along with everyone else, has to follow the rules of the site. They're there for a reason, and should they be broken, actions have to be taken.
Then earlier today it was found out that he had created a sock so he could post here using a different name while he's banned. This was denied by the sock, but several of the mods felt that it was a bit obvious, so one of them added another 7 days to his ban, for creating this sock. As most of you probably know, socks are strictly forbidden on this site, and many many people are permaneantly banned for making one. So sauron just getting another 7 days for making one isn't bad at all, he basically got off light.
Anyways, those are the reasons behind his ban, and I dont' want to see anymore bickering about it. He's banned, till the 19th, and that's that. After the 19th comes he can come back and post normally again, and everyone will be happy again. That is, unless of course he breaks more rules or creates another sock, then he will of course be banned again, as anyone would. Now, if anyone has any complaints about the situation, do not air them in public in this thread, or in any other. Send me a PM and I will be happy to discuss the problem you are having.
