Hmmm, not sure...."disaster" is right up there with "tragedy".

Yep, they do, which is why a lot of elvish languages don't carry that syllable; they're just too "good" for it. Please excuse my excessive knowledge of pointy-ears.
German has a lot of "sh" and "k' sounds, which is why everyone sounds peevish when they speak it.
