Allor sighed. She felt like sleeping as the taxi drove along.

Derek put his arm around Allor's shoulders.

Allor blinked. "Sorry, spaced out."

Derek kissed her cheek. "Don't apologize," he said quietly.

Allor smiled. Derek already seemed happier.

The taxi pulled into Mike's driveway. Derek got out and went to the front door. A note pinned to it informed him that Mike and all members of his family were gone for an indefinite amount of time. "****," Derek hissed under his breath.

Allor told the Taxi to hold on and went to see what's wrong. "Derek?"

"Nobody's home. In other words, we have no place to stay."

"No no no... This can't be right... The sign said 50 cents!" exclaimed Vash at the nearby store. He was trying to buy ciggaretes for 50 cents, after all he had very little money.

((lol 50 cents for a pack of cigarettes... that's ridiculously cheap 😛))

Allor chuckled. "Oh, I don't know about that." she said.

When Vash's plan of tricking the seller that the cigarettes cost 50 cents failed, he bought them for 99, he then took out a cigarette and began to smoke.

"Okay, but you have to pay the taxi driver for this part," Derek joked. He walked back down the driveway and got in the cab.

Allor laughed. "You're weird."

"That's why you like me," Derek said with a smirk.

"How do you know?"

"Because I can see it in your eyes," he said, in a fake romantic voice. "You can slap me if you want."
