Actually, how did the theatrical movie end? I've only seen the directors cut.

Evan went back in time, told Kayleigh he hated her and never to come around him again, and that was basically it. Then they shown Evan and whatshisname burning his old notebooks and the like, as if they never met Kayleigh or her brother.

yea i really didnt like that theatrical ending it lacked the major sacrafice of what the directors cut had which was evan killing himself as a baby

I liked the theatrical ending better. I found

Evan going back to when he was before he was conceived to tug on the umbilical cord (was that what he did?)

allowed Tommy, Kayleigh, and Lenny to be happy in the same way, plus, Evan now has to go live the rest of his life without Kayleigh.

The alternate endings going off the theatrical ending I thought were really stupid.

Following her just made him into a stalker and talking to her just negated the point of sacrificing ever knowing her.

alright everytime younger Evan blacked out was a time older Evan went into his past and took control of his younger self for a short time.

I dunno its a mind twister, because there was never anything actually wrong with him to have the black outs. The doctor just said he thinks its stress related. There really wasn't any stress.

But he went back in time because he couldn't remember them orignally. But maybe he couldn't remember them orignally because he went back in time?

it is pretty good, the end was kinda sad. he had a some what shitty life. tommy is a prick in some timelines. man i hate that tommy guy

Great flick, And of course the black outs were caused by older evan projecting back in time. Thats why when Evan did his time leap thing he could control his younger self's actions, however his younger self would black out and not remember older Evan being there.

I bought the DVD off Amazon and when I watched it I loved it! it looked so cool when he went back in time. An awsome movie.
