OK... My idea is that Slade is actually batman in the cartoon series ..... but in the comics he's an assasin.

Slade isn't Batman, and Robin's father died. Slade is just another crazed villain who wants a protage (sp?)

maybe its one of those things you know he "died" and just happens to be the bad guy

No he actually died, that's why he was intrusted into Bruce's care and why Bruce later adopted him. Robin's family was murdered, no doubt in the fact that they weren't

It pratically tells about that in the show. (Batman)

they could follow a different storyline. Does anyone know anything about Raven's history?? She started to tell Starfire in one of the episodes where she came from and stuff, but we never got to hear them.

Raven's father is Trigun the Terrible... a demon... he raped her mother who lived on a world called Azarath, a world of epaths and mages who taught her to use meditation to surpress her emotions that invoke her temper.... read into it if you want to know more about her future...
And there were a lot of Robins... like 3+ i don't know which one he is.... so i can't say.... yet slade is not exactly the same Slade in the comic books...

She came to earth to save it from an attack she forsaw in her future... she assembled the titans to trian them to fight trigun but with out their knowledge, she used her power of domination to "influence" Robin into creating the team.... she tried to join the JL but was rejected because she had a taint of evil in her heart that they felt...

They started the show at what would be the beginning of the comic series. So the Robin we're watching is Dick Grayson, the first Robin. And in total there were three Robins, but the second died.

Bit more background on Raven:
Mom's name- Angela Roth
Angela ranway from home, and drank a special drink from a 'church' she found. Then she was chosen to have Trigun's child. Then she ranway again. Then people from the Azarth, took Angela to their home where they raised Raven to block out her emotions and use her powers and so on.
