i'm maybe a dumb, but i think that if wings came before in evolution scale, why would a mutant have wings? if they disappeared, it's because they weren't worthy to human beings...evolution should bring new things, not things from previous species. wings may not work in our kind of body, they should bring problems, i think that's why they disappeared...what i mean is: evolution doesn't combine with old. wings shold not appear in an evolved being...

The thing is that in mutant world they don't evolve on the same way; if it would be like you say all mutants would have same powers.

i don't think so, in your thought there would be only black people or white people or yellow?? everyone would be the sme level of intelligence? in our evolution way there are differences too...but i must agree with you, it's only a superhero story so...

The thing is that in our world people became white; black; yellow or else because of genes; and adjustments made through thousands of years; in x world there aren't really any reasons why would someone get a power over the weather; someone would get wings etc. If you look at you humans (I'm a demon) you have much more similarities then mutants.
