my god you are one lucky girl!!!! i wish it was me, but i'm happy not jealous like other people would be. But yea if the auditions aren't over just make it seem like your curious. OR you could just be like " ok so there's this site on the web and i have a bunch of friends, including me, that want to know if the auditions for PotC 2 are over and if they aren't when will they start?" but i think thats too much information for someone to understand and then answer then question. But anyways thats all i had to say!
Hey everyone. I've been coming to this board off and on for a while, and just thought I would post this (Don't get mad if you guys have this alread. Its extremely hard to know what has already been posted). I am a working actress currently living in Los Angeles and am a memeber of a few extras agencies, including Sande Alessi Casting, who did the extras casting for the first Pirates film. On their website, Sande Alessi addressed the issue of POTC2, because their office is being flodded with calls and letter from fans wanting to be in the sequel. She replied with this:

Since the release of the film Pirates Of The Caribbean, we have received hundreds of E-mails every day from fans around the globe wishing to audition for the sequel. I thought I’d post this message to dispel any rumors.
1. Pirates II is not in production yet. Producers have notified us that the script is still being written, and will be completed by late summer. The film will most likely go into production summer 2005.
2. We are not doing any auditions. When we have auditions we will post them on our casting hotline, Breakdown Services, Back Stage West and here on our website.
3. You may not be considered for roles when you live in other cities or countries. There are plenty of actors/extras in Los Angeles that can be used to fill our calls. Principal actors (speaking parts) may be flown in for specific parts but usually they are name actors and are submitted by your agent to the principal casting department.
4. To be considered for any film we cast you must be registered with us. We give priority to actors who are in our internal database.
5. Anyone can be a pirate. Not true! The pirates that we cast to play Jack’s Crew and Barbosa’s Crew were extreme character types. They had very thin, lean builds, missing teeth, wandering eyes and serial killer looks. Marines and sailors were British looking and some needed tall ship sailing experience.
6. We will read your E-mail. Whenever we are casting a specific role and are accepting E-mailed submissions, we give out a message to identify it in the subject line. If the message is not correct we delete the E-mail immediately.
7. Bottom line. If you are local to Los Angeles (or local to whichever island is used for the next location) you may have an opportunity to work on the sequel if you have the correct look and skill. Stay tuned to our hotline to hear what’s coming up, but please, please stop emailing us. It’s just making us crazy. Thank you!!

i think the thing that was posted in another thread is whats true...an actress posted it...she belongs to a certain agency that did the casting last time...they're still writing the script and auditions havent started yet...i hope that much is true...but u gotta belong to the agency and live in LA or the islands...i hope thats not true...but that's what was posted and it is on the casting agency's website, so i guess it is true...dammit
