Tally-ho! How are you old bean?

smashing good mate and how be you this jolly good day? 😄

I personally like British people......I am curious on how people from London are able to get around---I mean I saw a map of London and talk about confusing😱

Thanks United Kingdom for putting up with us Yanks (Americans) 🙂

Our pleasure, old boy...

just be sure to take the underground when you're in the city, it's much easier 😉

What a spiffing thread! All in dedication to us Brits, jolly good show, old sport. What marvellous hospitality! 😄
I'm from the south of England, so I do sound a bit posh, all though I'm not really posh at all...

Us, brummies (from birmingham) always get slagged off for our accents. It's not our fault we don't talk posh!!!

I'm British... Living in Yorkshire but I got a London accent for some reason... Some of my friends are Londoners so maybe it's them rubbing off on me 😄 Not that I mind of course

yeah bit i also love the U.S its a very nice place but i found recently that i kind of fdon't feel safe in the U.S but apart form that you guys over the pond are fantastic you brought great hollywood films and i love programs like Friends and Stargate and Startrek 😱. Plus without you yanks we wouldn't have Starwars which means this site wouldn't exist

😆
and they say you people have a dry sense of humour

DRY???? British comedy rules ALL!!!!

i really actually don't know what it means when someone keeps on saying we have a dry sence of humer please explain 😕

no arguments here

Does anyone know that London is a total wasteland? I ought to know. I've lived there most of my life. 😠

I'm mostly in the center of it, you know ... tourist stuff, not the outskirts

Did anyone know that the "comprehensive" education system is one of the worst in all the western world? I ought to know. I am one of those who has been to BOTH comprehensives AND a Grammar school (the old type of school - they were everywhere before the Socialists appeared) 😠

coming from america myself. i couldn't begin to explain it. the closest thing i could say is that it's not vulgar or silly antics in the american sense. more like..."waitaminute, let me think...ah yes! now i get" haha...that is funny. jim carey vs. monty python...? mebbe i shouldn't have said dry. no offense 😮

Dry humour means detached and unimpassioned humour. Not introspective humour. More tending towards irony.

oh i c
