I think it would be cool if Connery played a villain of some sorts.

Connery as a Bond villian. That would be cool.

I read Casino Royale many years ago. If I recall, it was more of Bonds mental game than action. Great book, nonetheless. I imagine the new movie will be vaguely based on the book, but seeing Goldeneye, it won't have to much more in common other than the name.

see, in the old movies, they always used titles from the novels but the story just had a scene or two in it and the rest was taken from something else.
Naming it Casino Royal won't mean that they'll keep everything close to the book cause I doubt anyone is interested in seeing Bond playing cards the entire time 😖

my guess would be that bond has to stop a smuglar and he uses the casino to clean his money 😄
