Paul Haggis Joins 'Royale'
Famed writer to work on screenplay for James Bond's 21st adventure, Casino Royale
ScreenDaily reports that Paul Haggis will polish Neal Purvis and Robert Wade's script for three weeks. According to the article, Haggis was brought to the crew to 'polish' the script, not rewrite it
well, they always adapt the story to who plays bond, right? The writers told mi6 that they had a scriptdraft ready that was aimed at Pierce but that now he stopped they had to rewrite some things. That's cause every actor has his own 'seal' to press on the movie:
Moore the funny one, Timothy the serious one, ... so sometimes scenes get added or deleted to suit that seal better
After the news of who the new (old) bond could be, which is in the other thread, there is more CR news to get:
Scouting is taking place on various islands in the Caribbean by director Michael Campbell. A major filming location is expected to be based in Bermuda.
The Bahamas has been a popular place for 007, first with Ian Fleming's novels, and then with the filming of "Thunderball", "The Spy Who Loved Me", "For Your Eyes Only" and "Licence To Kill". Nearby Cuba has been used as a location in two Pierce Brosnan films, "GoldenEye" and "Die Anoher Day".
