how to audition for harry potter!

Ok, so we know all you peeps out there have been dying for your chance to be in one of the Harry Potter box-office hits. It's been a long wait for the filming of the fourth Harry Potter movie, Goblet of Fire, to begin. But, have no fear. Kidzworld has the scoop on when filming begins and how you could be a part of the Goblet of Fire cast!

Now remember, the folks at Warner Bros. aren't looking for peeps to play any of the big roles, as those have pretty much been determined in the previous movies. What they are looking for are extras for the Goblet of Fire. Think that sounds appealing? Well, then draft up your resume, pick your fave photo for your head shot and fire it off to the casting office. Make sure that somewhere in your resume package it is clearly stated that this is an application for Goblet of Fire and not The Prisoner of Azkaban - that movie has already been cast and is filming.

Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire - When Can You Send Your Queries?
The casting office handling the Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire casting queries has requested that no resume packages be sent before January 2004. They are still very busy with the Prisoner of Azkaban production and will not have time to look at any packages before January 2004. Any resumes that are sent in before that will not be considered at all.

Once January 2004 rolls around you can send your casting queries to:

Not everyone is going to get a reply, so don't be too disappointed if you don't hear back from the peeps at Leavesden Studios. You are more likely to receive some sort of response, though, if you send your own, self-addressed envelope for them to send the reply in!

Cho can be any kind of asian, I don't see why Filipinas should be ruled out!

Cho is japanese, and Chang is chinese. I think that leaves it pretty open. Unless your mom is japanese and your dad is chinese..then you will look more like Cho than anyone else.

Good luck to all you brits! Americans...I think we're out of luck. Don't they have a brits only policy for these films? That's why I think Kwon Boa is out, and all those other rumours can't be true...unless the girl is british...she has no chance.

Good luck on your auditions, and in the meantime, I suggest that you beef up your resumes alittle, try doing some stage acting, and audition for television and commercials if you can. Experience is always favorable. Even if it's not required.

(I'm a 21 year old, college student in America, I graduate next year with a degree in Theatre.....I thought you might want some advice from someone older and experienced...I wish I could be Cho too....but I'm WAAAAY too old, and I'm a filipino-american.)

Kwon Boa was also out because she could barely speak a word of English, without having to practice a paragraph for a few months. and you're right by the way, JKR made it clear they could only use a cast that were UK citezens. (They didn't have to be born in the UK, because the girl they got to play Pansy Parkinson was actually born in Australia, but all the scenes she was in were cut, so there you go).
