Ok I stumbled on this today when my friend asked me to help her find information about auditioning for cho. Regarding auditions you should check out the CBBC Newsround site cuz they listed the info about the Patil and Padma audition and will probably list info about a cho audition. They also have some old articles regarding the casting for cho. Also there is a site with a somewhat detailed profile of cho. It's alareflammas.org tho don't take it too seriously cuz they seemed to have pulled most of the info out of thin air, i.e. Cho being chinese. I don't know where everyone gets this from . I mean maybe J.K. Rowling intends for her to be Chinese but her name sounds korean if anything. It could be Chinese but it's unlikely. Of course most likely the name was just made to sound oriental so I won't go into the difference between chinese, japanase and korean names. But there really isn't any description of Cho Chang's looks other than asian, black hair, small (smaller than harry) and pretty. All very general so really it's not hard to look like her. Actually, I'm kinda hoping someone other than someone from the UK will get cast, because I think we need ot prove to JKR that it's not only Brits that ar "good" or whatever, and she seems to think that. We all know what she said when she foundout Chris Columbus was going to be directing HP PS/SS. "I thought I was going to hate him because he was an American"
I think that's pretty mean of her. Especially since her fans are from all around the world, including America.
But anyway, back to the topic of discussion, I want to say that if any of the people here get cast, know that I support you 100%, and remember to come back here and talk to us, ^__~

i think jk should be able to have any cast that she wants and if she wants an all british, so be it. it's a story set in britain so it only seems logical that the actors all be british. i truly believe that the actors should be all british even though i am an american and want to play cho myself. but if there isn't a suitable cho in britain, i hope that they see my letter and give me a ring if i'm more suitable😛

Do you like acting? Have you performed on stage or anything else? Music experience counts for alot too! If you haven't...give it a shot! It's tons of fun, even if you don't get into Harry Potter if you have talent, you should explore it!

No, no, no, that's only because she thought he wouldn't get the vibe and environment right. He's American, and no matter how much he reads the books (which isn't a lot! Grr!!) he still won't have that British feel to it. And she was right. The HP movies turned out to be pretty sucky.
