Wow...I was looking for a picture of her and it came up with this thread. She looks pretty old...😑 I didn't imagine Lavender Brown to look like her...

and yeah, Jennifer does look abit old to play Lavender from the pic angelflame posted but maybe they'll tone down the make up in the movie or maybe she wont look so old with all the older students who will be in the next film and with the main characters already growing up so fast!

I disagree that Harry Potter is an authentic British movie. I mean, I already know of a character in the film who's not British at all. I'm speaking of Maggie Smith(Professor McGonagall). Maggie's an American actress. Now c'mon... if it's just UK residents' only then that just doesn't make any sense to me.
So... in my opinion, about Harry Potter being a UK only film, it's either a rumor or it's just unfair and makes no sense. I wrote a letter to the Casting Office not so long ago. I can only hope it's not too late, but if I receive a response, I will let you know. I hope I wasn't being snooty in this response. I'm not trying to be.

i think they mean by Harry Potter as an authentic British movie in the means of well...its not like Privit Drive is in America??? Does anyone get it... 😬 because i read on JK Rowlings site saying why dont you have American Students attending Hogwarts???? because the movie is based in the UK....but that doesnt mean people that play the characters in the movie have to be from the UK...im sure theres many other actors and actresses that arent even from Britain that are in the movie....

its cuz the story and series of Harry Potter is based in the UK....i mean if ausiefan is planning to fly over to audition..she probably has to make sure her accent is spot on....thats why its called acting...

Too bad I don't live in England, or in Europe for that matter. However I can have an English accent if I want because I had to for Drama class.

let's just look at it this way: the casting people thought Katie Leung could play Cho, then maybe she can. anyways, it's not like Cho will have THAT huge of a part in OoTP and the next books, right? I think after OoTP, Harry is done with her. besides, JK said Harry and Cho are over...so there....🙂

I was thinking that too...I mean even though Harry and Cho would be over it doesn't mean that she wouldn't still be a big part in the books. She is part of the DA and stuff like that 😕

I think that katie is quite a lot uglier than boa but she still got chosen. and like georgina A said shes still part of the DA and quite a main character
