the movie version of the Gossip Girl Books by Cecily Zon Ziegsar are going to be made.
Reasons it won't work/Things I am worried about:
1)So far the series is in four parts, fans are currently awaiting a fifth, its gonna be weird to see the movie condense four books into one movie or if they just do the 1st book, it has an "unfnished ending!"
2)From past experience I feel Warner Bros will make this a sort of "Princess Diaries" or "Freaky Friday" movie. i liked both these movies but readers of the GG books will know that drugs, sex and swearing are basically like 90% of the books so trying to create a 12A or PG-13 version will be silly, what the movie guys should do is aim for a black comedy style gritty drama, i.e. "Jawbreaker" or "The Craft" not a pre-teen romcom!
3) Lindsay Lohan (who will play the lead, Blair) is a great actress and everythin, but not exactly who i had in mind when i imagine Blair, Blair needs to be dark and someone audiences love to be annoyed at.
