okay on the matter of william vs. marcus the question I must ask is... which version of marcus?
the hybrid version?
or the strictly vamp version at the beginning of U2?
William would destroy the vamp version of marcus... to be honest I think victor would have probably killed marcus' ass rather handily as well...
marcus may be the first but having power and being able to wield it correctly are entirely different things. In that case victor and marcus are on different sides of polarity... I don't think marcus was a warrior... victor obviously was...
whoops... I'm sidetracking.. okay. as far william goes.. like I said.. he'd own marcus end of story.. It was pretty apparent that the lycans were on the stronger end of the spectrum concerning the virus. We are constantly reminded of this throughout the underworld universe...
for instnace, lucian vs. victor... winner -seemingly looked to be in lucian's favor.
raze vs. random vamps.. raze.
william vs. 20 vamps... looked like william was holding his own.
even marcus after his dna-combining looked leary of william...
lest we forget that william had been in hybernation for centuries?
he was hardly at full strength. I mean consider victor.. he could harldy stand on his own when reawakened.... are we to assume that william has the benefit of the doubt here and say that he was at full strength after JUST waking up? I should think not.
In terms of brute strength william seemed to be throwing michael around as easily as marcus was.. but his hybernation was probably heavily weighing against him... I doubt michael would have won so easily if william had time to rejuvinate.. or feed perhaps. Hell, even marcus needed to feed (horses) to regain his strength.
against a fully healed and rejuvinated william I highly doubt the match would be so easily in marcus' favor... if at all...
again just having power doesn't ensure victory.. victor proved that against micheal, so him being a hybrid doesn't account for a whole lot considering the other circumstances that were involved... marcus kept beating micheal by plot devices... not in a strictly hand to hand match. He may have APPEARED to have easy victories.. but they would not have been near to easy had those plot devices not been there to his fortune. Micheal's victory over william is discounted as william may not have been NEAR full strength.
As of now I think William vs. marcus at full strength.. may actually go to william or be a tie...
as for marcus' wings, I assumed that was the result of the lycan virus being crossed into his dna. again, there's nothing conclusive to tell whether or not he had those wings before his consumption of the lycan blood, but that's my guess.
as for a hybrid william vs. hybrid marcus, there's no doubt in my mind.. william all the way.
