I can't remember which awards show it was (maybe MTV), but he won an award and in his acceptance speech he said something to another kid, Jamie Bell from Billy Elliot. He said to him "Jamie, I was truly inspired by your performance and I know you'll acheive more great performances in the future".

How patronising is that? If I was Jamie Bell I'd have hooked him.
