Why Can't We?

Why can't we have topics about politics? Politics are what keep the government going and therefor extremely important to all people. So what if there becomes a heated debate. Its not like a riot is going to occur because its the internet.

it's cause there was a politics forum and it ended in a bashing-forum
to prevent that, politics isn't allowed anymore

Yes, as yers said, we used to have a dedicated politics forum. It was shut down as it was causing too many arguments and a lot of members were falling out.

So it was decided a long time ago that politics has no place really on a movies board.

Yes, myth, basically, we had as close to a riot as is POSSIBLE on the net and allowing such things brought far more negativity than benefit- it harmed the boards as a whole.

Is there a way to re-open a "Who would you vote for" poll without letting people reply? That would let people just vote, but not argue.

Myth I agree with you on politics being extremely important sadly enough those are the rules, and since I was here when we had the political forum I can understand the reason for them everywell

ok polotics is not movies....and anyway...if polotics came up now again im sure there would be SOMEONE on the boards who would get kinda out of hand

maybe we could make a politics forum where, initially, everyone has acces, but if someone starts flame_wars, he gets banned from the political form, so eventually, only "good" people will be allowed...

so, get everyone in, start a war, than remove them, have others do the same, remove them to? that's not worth it

well..eventually there should be only "ok" people allowed...or we could...uh....forget about it.....too complicated....if only people would learn to think twice before posting a reply...and that is a LOT easier than thinking twice before speaking...

Now I would like to know. On the other site i belong to there are like no rules it is not a PG-13 forum. Now why is our PG-13 because we are linked to the other site Killermovies. So all ages can go to it and thus more traffic or what. and i dont really want to talk about politics i would get in a argument with someone for sure

we have certain rules to attend too, cause the server is in texas. That's why people can't post porn or whatever 😉
