Yes! Like when Sauron changed his name to Innkeeper, it was like the legend of suaron died, even though sauron was still there.

Yeah that was terrible!!! It's weird when the name is different, it takes a while to get used to it ✅ So yes you must not change "Feanor" ❌ That's kinda why I don't want to change my name even though it's stupid and childish..
