Blood bath in Kill Bill Vol I

Did anyone else think the pool of water in the restaurant eventually becoming filled with blood was a subtle but cool reference to people thinking that Tarantino movies are just a blood bath?

I thought it was brilliant.

yea i did notice the water turn red after a couple of people died/fell in it

I notice the water fill with blood when the Bride gets to the 2nd floor. Just before the last of the crazy 88 gets his legs cut in half.
