Kai stood up and nodded to lance "Have a nice night" he said and walked to the stairs. He walked up and to his room. He cat ears still able to hear everything downstairs. His vision black and white, though his eyes could only focus on things he looks at. He looked at a small mouce hole and quickly turned away. His feline instincts were not going to take over and make a fool of him. He saw the mouse and couldnt resist. It was towards the stairs and he pounced at it. He accedentally went to far and rolled down the stairs. a man ran to his side and asked if he was ok. "No, i tried commiting suicide and i forgot to land on my head!" Kai yelled and looked at the mouse. He chased the mouse at the door and pounced on it. He picked the mouse up and smirked as he put it in his mouth. He walked back in the hotel, noticing that people were staring "What are you all starin at?!" he yelled and ran up the stairs out of sight.
Kai sat in his bed alone. Bored as ever. He chuckled to himself, thinking on how hard it was to catch the damned mouse. He sighed and looked out the window at the world. The trees were casting a shadow as the sun started to set. His favorite time, Night.

Kai smiled when the sun was completely down. He walked down he stairs and looked at the bar. "Still talking like lunatics..." he said. He saw more mice and tried to resist, and succeeded. he walked out the door and walked unril he was out of sight. He looked at the feild mice running everywhere. he smiled knowing he wouldnt make a fool of himself and chased them playfully, not going to hurt them, but for his own enjoyment.

Haze let her emotionless grey eyes wander to Eragon. Hm. She had seen him, long ago, but she knew him none the less. He was a friend of Kaze's. Kaze was the wolf demon keeping the balance between the wolves of earth and hell. Exactly the opposite of Haze...oddly enough they got along though. Kaze was killed not to long ago, she had visited the female demon quite a few times. Ah well. That was done. She never had finished her quest, which mirrored Haze's identically. Slowly now she sipped the martini she had ordered to wash down the straight vodka. Her eyes closed sullenly as she thought of the time they first met. They had both been chosen for their part at a young age, five to be exact. Kaze had actually been an original angel, but due to the unforgivable sin of making love to a demon she was spewed from heaven. Haze chuckled. All to often had angels beleived she would be ' Heavens greatest sin '. In fact, the day she met Kaze that had started. From the moment she saw her, she knew it would be one of them.

" I am Haze. What are you doing here? The gate between heaven and hell is a dangerous place, you know."

And that was exactly how it was, untill she met that imbisille Daku. In fact, it had been right at that gate, for that same purpose. When Kaze was 18 Haze had been sick, so she went to check the wolves alone. Daku was there, sitting on the bridge under the willows just looking into the water. He knew he was going to die...that curse would never fade. But he didn't care. He never even told her. He ruined everything for her... he made her impure to the highest degree, and then, alternately, caused her death. Now Haze had to carry on their mission alone. This she did not mind, it was simply that Kaze kind of... completed her. Where Haze was dark, silnt, Kaze was loud and fun, fuilling the whole world with her beautiful happiness.
Haze sighed. She'd ought to stop dwelling on this. It was not worth it to cry any longer. The shallow breaths she brought in were getting knotted in her tense throat, and she stood. A peculiar noise caught her attention. A distant howling. She grinned. Well, the wolves were aware of her prescense now.

Rising, she spread her wings, catching almost every eye in the tavern, and then closed them again. It felt nice to stretch them out...she wasn't supposed to use them during her stay, however. Part of this stupid test. The test Kaze had failed. Sighing, she walked outside and made her way to the wolve's howling.
