I have never met an Eastern European that likes porn, which is odd, as Eastern Europe produces staggering amounts of the stuff.
Not that I would know that, obviously.
These SW games I run on-line are relatively light hearted. Even the harshest of most evil games- which some of you may end up playing of mine- are normally built with not only the possibility, but actually the most likely outcome, being some sort of triumphant situation for the player- else there is no motivation to play.
But, rather like the films themselves, these SW games are very mythic in quality, everything gets sucked into the roles of the major characters, and logic often takes a holiday. Some of the beat RPs are very, very nasty and gritty indeed, but that doesn't work for SW. The trick is to make it just about harsh enough to give it that 'edge' which makes it all the more enjoyable.
Right now, just having come out of their in-depth stagger-o-story, the Dark Siders are now in a far more traditional Episode, with no major surprises, though it is not actually irrelevant. That's good in many ways, as I think they need this time to settle. The Dark Side game can certainly be won with no surprises- basically, despite the great potential difficulties in the way, they will either end this game with that new generator or without it.
The Renegades storyline, eventually, will test a brand new game mechanic. Their story is eminently winnable, but it is difficult. I am also hoping it will, whilst being hideously dangerous (for reasons that should now be becoming clear), be highly enjoyable, especially when we get onto the next part of it (months off yet). It's a straight forward storyline, and as a kinda spoiler, one of the reasons for that is that it is written in the style of the Original Trilogy. It also contains the first Light Side cross-reference with the upcoming Original Trilogy game (the first ever reference being the Osokans, of course)
The Jedi storylines are... well, basically, whilst all the games are important, if it was the Dark Side game that got people talking last time, it's the Jedi's turn now. This is very much meant to be the 'Empire Strikes Back' period of gaming for the campaign.
