Race is always a touchy issue in SW since Jar-Jar was accused of being a black servant reference.
As far as I am concerned, make of race what you like in my game. If I define someone as human, I rarely care about that- the various Human Senators and captains and other administrators, pirates and thugs are any colour your imagination wishes them to be.
There are some exceptions. Judge Xian Tai-Tek is white, as an in-joke about Star Wars names (he is resolutely aristocratic English). EVERYONE from Tasker's Crown is white. And thus far, all the Bureau personnel are white, though whether it is mandatory to keep that image of how the Empire works, we shall see.
Ithrorn (NPC Jedi) is in fact Asian, but I haven't created a specifically black force user yet, Light or Dark. Of course, as for the stars of the story, I have no control at all.

That wouldn't help at all. What they need to do is come up with a plausible reason for the Rebels to bother listening to negotiations......and find out everything they can about what the hell happened! It all looks very suspicious...to me, at least...
I doubt they would refuse to talk with Jedi who now have authority over an army. You boys are too shy and passive.
