That's the universal thing, there; if we had selected THIS at character creation instead of THAT, we would have survived this or that better or killed this person or blah blah blah. 😛

So, I had an idea, since it seems that we will be taking a break from the Star Wars RPGs for an unknown amount of time. Also, another reason for this idea is that I, personally, would rather have Ush focus on the games he currently has at hand and get the Star Wars games to us when he is ready, rather than pester and pester and pester (even though that's fun...).
My idea is this, and is a complete rip-off from Ush's Prince of Persia game. Basically, I would want to run a few short games specifically designed to go through a bit of the characters' histories. For example, we could visit the beginning of Kyle's troubles with Rylis. Or maybe the formation of Rand's little group of Darkies before he met Galder and company? These short little games would be set for individuals or for small groups (that would logically be together, of course; Coll would not be partying with Arvus during an assassination) and likely be told from one side.
Any thoughts?
I would probably avoid subjects that deal with the main plot of Ush's games, such as the Kuylen family tree or Sienar's evil plans...that sort of thing.
For example, I envision Gallagher's game avoiding the murder of his sister, since Sienar mentioned at the end of "Revelations" that he would fill Gallagher in about the reasons why. It might be a tad touchy to actually go through that incident, since Ush likely already has plans for it.

There are levels of success, as we learn...constantly...and failure doesn't necessarily mean death.
And that sort of thing (individual histories) can work fine, we're doing it with a different game elsewhere...
And unlike most people, it seems, I am perfectly fine with everything that I put together for Rylis at character creation. I just need to actually, you know, not make dumb decisions.
Individual plots in the past doesn't mean that you get an automatic win. Sure, you may not die or be maimed or whatever, but you can certainly still win or lose.
For example, the Imperial mission was to capture or kill Drakkon. You can win tremendously (capturing Drakkon alive), somewhat win (kill Drakkon), or just outright fail (he gets away). You don't have to die or be maimed for any of those to be accomplished.
It'd be no different that any other prequel. We KNOW Anakin turns, and we KNOW Obi-Wan hands him his ass (or both legs and one arm, really) at the end. it was still a good movie. (Speaking in general, here, not trying to start a movie argument)
If Ush has no problems with someone else playing in his world, I'd be all for giving it a shot.
And as for the character creation argument, not matching up character concept with game mechanics is different that not taking the most shooty/ damagy stuff and regreting it later. And no I didn't really think Ush would allow a change. It wouldn't be fair to the others.
