I do hope, btw, that 'save billions of people' is a better draw than 'save the pretty Senator that I've knocked up" as a justification. As in, Anakin just ended up looking like a remarkably selfish bastard.

Yeah, he really did. Dooku kind of uses the draw of 'End the war, remove the corrupt Republic, bring peace to the Galaxy!' with Jedi in the Republic comics, and even that is a better reason than 'save your wifey.'

part of the problem was that the 'savong' was never adequately defined,. What is she going to die of? Why can't I just stop that happening?

"I have a magic power that stops people dying" is... a bit feeble, and as it was also apparently a lie, it seems Anakin's stupidity was the issue here...

Yeah, would have made a little more sense if Anakin knew for sure that Padme was going to die of ______. Anything would do. Padme has incurable space cancer!

Indeed, and so instead of any apparently logical or sensible approach he virutally ghoes straight for "Well, I'd better turn to the Dark Side then! Oh, she's dead anyway, bugger..."

I mean, if Palps had even demonstrated said power...

Killed someone and brought them back? Sure, that'd impress me. Hell, Dooku Round 2 for Episode III, fighting the undead...

I think it would have been cool if he showed the power subtly. Like bringing back a small dead lizard only to have it show that there is a nasty side effect. Like madness.

But Anakin had more than one reason to turn to Darkiside - he was pretty sellfish and felt underappreciated by the Jedi, and was a bit fascinated by Palpatine.... I think that Padme was only the final factor. Anakin was a bit rotten from within, from the beginning.

And Sienar is awesome, I agree. I wonder about this Purity thing- I mean, it seems logical powerful Darksiders are into Empire building- Gallador thinks ultimate power is exercizing your will over the others- and Sienar seems to also want to control people. Alternative may be understanding the nature of the Force- but would such passive approach be satisfying on a longer term for any Darkisder?

Is there an alternative for the Sith and Jedi way, that for example Darkside players could use?

The way of the Sith was full of squabbling. If Galder took charge of the group, he would follow Kuylen's example and put an end to the fighting. But then again, the ultimate goal is Empire-building.

Well, you need very powerful leader for non-squabbling to happen.

Gallador actually is less likely to try to take charge now, because I feel that after conversion he is less powerful compared to Rand- previously he actually was farther into the Darkside tree. Now it will take ages for him to get to Corruption and Domination powers, which would mark him as the Master of Darkside, as far as I am concerned.

He still isn't as strong as Rand, though. If Rand gets those he can contest you.

Xavier really has no desire to lead anybody. Just help the team as much as possible reach its potential.

Actually, Gallador and Rand can get along pretty well so far. Lady would surely be much harder to influence, is one thing.

And Rianna doesn't care to lead. She just doesn't want anyone she doesn't like in charge, either 😛

But she especially dislikes Rand and Gallador 😛
