Some mre generic system update rules:
- A general rule is going to be made that you cannot bonus attack a bonus attack- for example,you cannot Cleave the extra attacks on a Spin. Related, the tap effect for Charge is still up in the air. This is not so much about its general power as it is about munchkin-type abuse of it just to get extra attacks.
- Reflection taps are being limited to three kills and only work if the attack missed (as a result of this, the number needed for a kill on a Reflection tap is being reduced. This is because, as the attack has to miss anyway, the calculation for that number should have been based on no die rolling higher than 4.)
- A number of other Force powers are being re-worked, Grip being an example. The general mood is to try and make them cheaper (even down to 0 in soe cases), or VERY dangerous if they cost more than 1.
- Combat and Gun schticks may well fall under the radar too.
- A new skill, Survival, is being added. Renegades and Outsiders will have the edge in it.
Yup.
Meanwhile, some changes mentioned may never happen. The improved version of Balanced Guard has actually turned out to be TOO good, for example.
Focussed Guard is staying in, but a. is being improved a little and b. my brother wants to make it clear that it is designed for Force Atackers who wish to stand off, and it is useless for Swordsmen.
Power swaps will be allowed for people based on all this- and related, expect xp awards soon.
Testing on the system continues. More schticks are seeing changes, minor and majorm though the principles remain the same.
Vigorous use of Cleave's protective tap power today has brought the possibiliity that it may be changed a it proved very powerful indeed- though its user was the one facing death soon after.
