DR's game--Episode I: Alliances

Yakov nodded. "Must have been a lot of fun." He wondered if he was the only one that didn't drink. Hewouldn't know what his tolerance level was unless he actually got drunk. Which he would never do.

"There's a Republic General who has been shooting down a few freighters...You wouldn't know anything of it, would you?"

"Of course I do. The whole damn planet knows about him. What, did Raneis finally hire somebody to kill him?" His voice is deep, and he talks with a note of contempt.

Yakov's eyes narrowed as the man mentioned Raneis' name. He showed disinterest in the man and ciontinued to conversate.

"Yes, I'll be honest. He did hire 'someone' to kill him. A few someone's in fact. Is this general not well liked here?"

"Easy there. No, he's not liked at all. He managed to cut off the supply of glitterstim entirely. Bad idea, with all the addicts running around."

He takes a long draft of his drink.

Listens in interest as he mentions Raneis. Obviously both the general and our employer were well known, as well as their feud. "You find it wierd that he knows Raneis is out to get him?" I ask Yakov

"I mean, we didn't even have to say who we worked for and he knew."

Yakov took a deep breath. "Yes, It is stranged." he said as his violet slitted eyes scanned the man the others were talking to.

"My name's Tanon, do you mind if I have a seat to discuss this general?"

"Be my guest," he says, motioning to a chair.

Tanon sits down and orders a drink...Something non alcholic, he wants to have his wits about him.

"So would you happen to know where this general is?...His name would be helpful also."

Yakov listened in on the conversation. He looked at Xordon.

"Where do you think? That big ship orbiting the planet, he stays there all the time. And his name? Jergan Orthof, I think."

"You mean the Mon Cal Cruiser? Great...Well, do you know of any way for us to board that thing without being blown to bits? I'm not too worried about my ship but others aren't lucky enough to have cloaking devices..."

He laughs. "You were actually planning to try to fly into that thing on your ship? That's the funniest thing I've heard in quite a while! Look, I'll give you a suggestion, but it'll cost you."

i dont think cloaking devices are easy to come by

and how much would it actually cost?

No, they're not, but I let him have one because he's a smuggler and his strong point is his ship, so it might as well kick ass
