✅ ✅ precisely... though I highly doubt that number.
According to the film, Sauron had still 300,000 Orcs left in Mordor when the Siege of Minas Tirith started, and between 200,000 and 300,000 Orcs fought in the Battle of Morannon
In the book, Aragorn had 6000 men at his side (originally 1000 riders + 6000 men of the infantry, but 1000 were left behind), in the film there are only about 300 left; and in the book, Sauron's troops were "10 times more" than Aragorn's army.

np 😉Yeah, they did the same in Helms Deep... which wasnt a really important battle in the book ...
Without the victory at Helm's Deep, Rohan would have never answered the call to aid Gondor. The shock of 5-6K calvary charging the flank of the Mordor host was quite a signifigant event in the battle of Peleanor Fields.

You people know nothing! Their were between 150,000 to 200,000 orcs. 6,000 Riders of Rohan, 5,000 Dead Warriors and 20 oliphaunts. And an estimated 3-5 thousand Gondar soldiers.
Isnt that nearly exactly what we said?
And we were mostly referring to the numbers in the book - where there are "only" 45000 warriors for Mordor.
And I do not think it's the best beginning for a post to say "You people know nothing" - that might not be taken in a friendly way.

Supposed to be where? On the pelennor fields? Now thats kinda unrealistic 😖 where exactly is that?
Though it would be realistic as an all-in-all-number of the armed orcs of Mordor at that time - the ones from Pelennor, those that stayed in Gorgoroth and those that fought in the battles of Lórien and in the North near Dale.
First of all for telecontari, we know nothing? Where are you getting your numbers from? There were 40,000-45,000 for Mordor and her allies. Gondor had just over 11,000. These are numbers from "The Atlas of Middle Earth". It was written by experts in geography and demography. I'd say they knew something. And yes Mordor had in the hundred thousands, but they were back in Mordor or attacking other fortresses in ME (Rivendell, Lolthlorien, Rohan, etc). For those of you who think there were hundreds of thousands or even millions of troops at Pelennor Fields, all I have to say is read a book. PJ totally screwed up putting the books to film. He missed so many things and then added a bunch of crap. The visuals were excellent, but the story is changed. I am so tired of all you "experts" out there who have seen three movies and never read one word that Tolkien wrote. I'm not claiming to be an expert on ME either, but I have read "The Lord of the Rings", "The Hobbit", "The Simerillion", and other books on the subject of ME. I suggest to anyone who wants to speak with any kind of authority and knowledge on the subject, read the books before you come online claiming this and that.

Yep, they're the same Tolkien himself also gives. The Atlas is very reliable in questions like that... I also re-read the parts in the book, and the number of the orcs there is clearly not over 50,000.
Since we're on the subject of troops at Pelennor Fields, where were the Easterlings? My next question is which Easterlings were those at the Black Gate when Frodo and Sam almost got discovered? And finally, why did PJ leave out such colorful groups? I would have liked to see ALL of the Easterlings at Pelennor Fields.
