Reverse Psychology

Thought it would be fun if we reversed our favorite and least favorite characters and compared them, just to play devil's advocate. Especially since you can't really love a character until you recognize and accept his or her faults. And on the flip side, even when you dislike a character, you can still recognize his or her good traits. I'll start, just to give a general idea:

*deep breath*

why Legolas is better than Boromir:
- He's immortal
- He's more cheerful
- He's more self-assured
- He's prettier (according to a lot of people...)
- He does not try to take the Ring

aahhh!! I actually came up with 5 reasons!! I can't believe myself! Forgive me Boromir!!

😕 I don't know if I should be snickering or insulted....

Why Tulkas is better than Melkor

- Because he doesn't try to take over the world
- Because he doesn't try to make his own creatures to mock the other existing creatures
- Be-

I can't do it, sorry!

Legolas *gasp*.....lol, just jokeing.

This will be hard for me but... Why Arwen is better than Eowyn
1. She doesn't try to break into another couples romance.
2. She gave Aragorn more faith.

LOL..this is reverse psychology! At least try, so that we could at least find some reasons to not hate Legolas or other characters that extremely..I still love Boromir with all my heart. 😄

Why shadowy is better then Kit:
-She's more witty
-She doesn't argue with newbies
-She doesn't answer a question without knowing the facts
-She thinks more
-She's pretty

Oh yeah..this will be a real challenge, at least judging from book-Arwen

Why Arwen is better than Eowyn:
- She doesn't obsess over men she can't have
- She has a better sense of responsibility to her people
- She has more hope
- She doesn't try to get herself killed
- She's more patient
- She looks like Luthien

Hey it's not Eowyn's fault she isn't an elf. I think that Eowyn has a lot of hope, considering she was the one that went off and fought. I just said that she was obsessing over men she couldn't have, the first thing I said.

Kit, do your own. 😄 I know you have a lot of hated characters. 😛 Especially Tulkas..make some reasons why he's better than Melkor..I know it's hard but...😛

I never said that Arwen is better because she's an Elf. And those that I've posted are some reasons why Arwen would be better than Eowyn if you'll look at a different angle. Eowyn is still my favorite female LOTR character, and Arwen is the least. 🙂

LOL..I think this thread caused some confusions. 😆

Why Faramir better then Boromir:

-He's more peaceful
-He's more in connection with Finduilas
-He doesn't die
-He marries Eowyn
-He becomes the next Steward of Gondor
-He gives up his rule of Gondor to Aragorn willingly
-He's Middle-Earth's robin hood
-He lets Frodo pass with the one ring
-He has more of a tragic past.

There, better?

Well, I meant that just because Arwen looks more like Luthien she is better than Eowyn.

Well, not really. 😉 Eowyn is beautiful in her own way. I was just coming up with some reasons you see, it's not easy. 😛
