no i like soad but dont get me started on korn well at least they are better the good charlete

virtually anyone is better than Good Charlotte. well apart from Linkin Park.

HockeyHorror---> I just read the first one (about Billy) because I'm too lazy to read the others... That was freakin awesome, even if it is Hip Hop. The guy who wrote that obviously was very intelligent, and put some major thought into it. That's a big difference from the crap you see on MTV--a bunch of "gangstas" running around spitting whatever rhymes come to mind, no matter how stupid or nonsensical they are.
Anybody who doesn't think AT LEAST that it took some effort to write that hasn't read it. As I already said, I don't like Hip Hop. However, I am open minded and I don't judge things without actually witnessing them in person. I haven't heard very much Good Charlotte, for example, and you don't see me bashing them, do you? If you're just going to diss it without even thinking about what it says, don't post.

Darth Revan> 🙂

ending of song is really nice

and you'll be one of gods children and fell from the top
there's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot
so when the devil wants to dance with you, you better say never
because the dance with the devil might last you forever

That's what I thought like halfway through it, but if you had actually read the whole thing, you'd know that it's exactly the opposite.

okay i read the first one a few minutes ago its good very strong lyrics

HockeyHorror--I used to have the impression that "underground hip hop" as you put it had lyrics similar to the mainstream stuff only 10x worse. Like talking about going around with your homies in your flashy cars and talking about your "b!tches" and such.. I was surprised when I read that song that it's actually sending somewhat of a positive message... Tell me why they don't play that stuff on the radio again?

Linkin Park has more talent and originality in one of Chester's nosehairs than Good Charlotte could ever dream of having.

As for Korn, they should have just stopped after "Untouchables". It all sounds the same, especially to all the people that have been fans since 1995. We're all tired of Jonathan Davis and his crying. it's just such a tired form of motivation.

Same for the Deftones. Up until White Pony, things were lovely. Now it's all usually incoherent monotony. SoCal rock is dead and gone. Papa Roach still around, or did they get smart and butt out?

MY VICTORY SPEECH:

I want to thank all those that supported me to this great victory. Total Metalhead and Darth Revan...thx sorry if i forgot to mention others but remember that "Boredom excites imagination"- Fyodor Dostoevsky...so try to always be bored and somehow make something big happen.
and also the fastest and most efficient way for growing Fungi (Mushrooms) is by using Hydrogen Perodxide Solution. Thanks to all and have a interesting and philosophical life. And NEVER dance with the devil, cuz adance with the devil might last you forever.

firstly, there are so many many many reasons why Linkin Park are talentless, but they've been listed many times and i really cant be bothered to list em again.

Korn shouldnt have stopped at Untouchables. they should have not made Untouchables. in fact, they should have skipped Follow The Leader and Issues aswell, and stuck with their first 2 albums and there newest one. and Jon does the opposite to cry on Take A Look In The Mirror. its aggressive and brutal. hes not sad, hes angry.

and i agree about the Deftones. their latest album wasnt up to scratch, they went far to soft. i long for the days of My Own Summer. and i hope Papa Roach are rotting in there graves. Lovehatetragedy was a truly horrible album.

congratz but you didnt when i still hate the fact they us bit.ch as if its a bad thing

nope sorry hock won fair and square. look he even typed up a speech.

yup 🙂 lol

takin this to overtime i c...well how bout read this lyric its a verse so its shorter than the full lyrics...its Doin Alright- CunninLynguists.

Kno's Verse in the Song

"Back in the 16th century, way WAY back in the day
Nostradamus predicted the end of the world will be on May, 5th
1999 and I don't know how
But as I'm writing this that's only one day from right now
What the ****? I pull up, to shelter my truck
Look up - NAH, Earth ain't about to erupt
Open my door, get up, slam it shut, Marv whattup?
Let me get a bag of ice and a stack of plastic cups
For a, minute we chat bout life and alladat
Then we dap, check you out tomorrow night I'll be back
Grab a, beadie and light it, turn the key and start drivin
Back off into the night and, then I start to get frightened
Thinkin - damn! In my whole life I was just a dreamer
I never got to put on a show in a packed arena
I wanted to go on Rap City and act witty
But all I ever did was put up with hoes who act shitty
What a whack pity - damn, was I choosin a road
that didn't get me there in time and I'd be losin our globe
Hold up I'm losin control, thinkin realistically on it
What could **** up a planet in one day without warnin?
And even if the world does end, I can't be mad at guys
Cause life coulda been much worse, at least I'm satisfied
At least my dad's alive, married to my mother
I have a sister and friends that I can call my brothers
At least I have life, some people they life is stolen
Set up for a crime but behind bars is where they hold 'em
We got kids killin kids cause Earth is cold
Women usin abortions as a form of birth control
It hurts the soul and leaves a scar on your conscience
But it's a blessing that I made it through this nonsense
So even if this would be my last night
At least when it's over I'd be doin alright"

brilliant. that is anti-gansta rap.

i think i speak for everyone when i say shut the hell up perfectronnykin

well she/he does have his/her opinions but...hmmm i dunno maybe alittle harsh there total metalhead...or no?
either way 🙂

Oh and TM, I have to say I agree about LP being talentless. I admit that I actually like some of their music, but they certainly don't have talent. If you look in the back of the lyrics thing for "Meteora", it lists the band members:

"Linkin Park is: Chester Bennington: vocals. Rob Bourdon: drums. Brad Delson: guitars. Joseph Hahn: records, sampling. Phoenix: bass. Mike Shinoda: emcee, vocals, sampling."
Meaning that only three of the six band members actually play instruments. Chester might have a reasonably good voice if he wasn't screaming every goddamn word of the songs. I have this image of how their band was formed that goes something like this:
"Hey Chester, wanna start a band?"
"OK, that sounds fun! I'll sing and try to act all cool like. You just play your guitar and act inconspicuous and be sure not to let any talent you may have develop."
"Can I join too guys?"
"Um... Ok... You can just stand around and mess with Rob's guitars to make 'em sound worse."
"Can I join too guys?"
"Ok you can just stand around and mess with my voice to make it sound better"
"Don't we need a drummer?"
"Oh yeah.."[picks a random moron off the street]"You sir, do you want to be in our band? Of course you do!"

And thusly proceeded the formation of the oddest band in the history of rock.
I apologize if that offended anyone.
