Once, again my post has been edited by an administrator, that is very wrong, this is a forum where you express your opinions, for everyone to see. There was no profanity or rudeness in my comment, I think what the administrator did was wrong, and should be removed of their capabilities. I know you are trying to "Manage the Forum" but deleting what people wrote is simply wrong.
I have looked for book discussion forums, and this one seems to be the most active, but nothing compares to the rude admin you have here.
I rest my case.

Go to Barnes & Noble, Borders or any of the big-name book retail chains, and you can usually find new releases for 25-35% off, and best sellers for 20-30% off... both of which make hardcovers a little more affordable. Personally, I prefer hardcovers from a collector's standpoint. I have my preferred authors that I like to have in hardcover format, and several of them have actually been signed, making them someone more valuable to me in hardcover format.
To put on my bookshelf, I prefer hardcover books. They just look so cool! Hardcover books are really difficult to carry around, though, so for casual reading (or reading in general), I'd choose a paperback. I'd buy a bunch of hardcover classics that I would read only if had to. They look really nice on the shelf, especially if they've been published by the same place. But I'm rambling now. 🙂
