I like him alot. He's mostly known from his infamous Grey album which combined Jay-Z's Black Album with the Beatle's White Album illegally. It almost made Jay-Z sound decent....almost. He also produced Gorillaz Demon Days, which turned out great. DangerDoom will certainly be on my most wanted list.

I bought the new Common CD today. My friend keeps insisting Common is a better MC than Mos Def. then again, he's an idiot who knows nothing.

Eh.. I'd give is to Mos Def just cause I really prefer everything about his delivery, from his voice to his flow. Common is a great emcee though.. just not as fun to listen to as Mos Def.

Mos Def has a unique flow, he is quite unpredictable in the way he emphasizes some of his words. Plus he usually puts down some insightful lyrics as well (not saying Common doesn't but i prefer Mos).

i prefer Common. Ressurection, One Day It'll ALl Make Sense, and Like Water for Chocolate were one of my fav Common albums. His songs are very deep, and its real easy to listen to him. Both are great mc's without a doubt.

I like Mos Def more. I think I give him the edge cause he's a triple threat: he can act, rap and host def poetry jam.

lol, Mos Def is definitely an entertainer now, but I like Common a lot more. As hockey mentioned Resurrection, One Day It'll All Make Sense, Can I Borrow A Dollar, Like Water For Chocolate, and now Be. Each album is top notch. I would even give him the edge because he has more albums. Each of them being very good, or classic. Nobody can touch Common on resurrection. Hip-hop at its finest. Superb wordplay.

As a hip-hop fan I wish Mos would focus more energy on hip-hop. I'm still waiting for another Black on Both Sides or something of that ilk.
