If you want to know exactly who they are and what the album's about, here's a summary for you:

Conceived in the lair of Chicago’s legendary WHPK Rap Show, this project is one of those rare hip-hop albums that evokes a feeling of marvel and completeness. Consisting of MCs Qwel, Qwazaar and Denizon Kane (Dennis Kim of I Was Born With Two Tongues) and producer/DJ Natural, the Typical Cats have put together a record of straight up hip-hop with provocative lyricism, original concepts, and the raw energy you would expect from three of the most promising MCs to come forth in recent times. The name Typical Cats is purposely ironic. Each member of the group comes from a radically different perspective giving the album the ability to hit from all angles. Still there is a great feeling of camaraderie throughout, leaving the listener in awe of the work, effort, and sheer talent that went into these recordings. Production was provided almost solely by DJ Natural, with Meaty Ogre stepping in to rock one beat. The full length CD is available from Galapagos4 with a 7 track EP following shortly.

hmmm thats a hard one.

Amerikka's Most Wanted was nice but had lot of racist remarks which was kinda hard to listen to.

im gonna say The Predator.

edit: i prefer NWA- Straight Outta Compton

any other suggestions for albums you think would be in stores?

now keep in mind theres not a huge hip hop thing goin around in my city, we dont even have a radio station. so im thinkin like classics that might be in stores or the best of the newer stuff.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😄

Death Certificate>Predator>Amerikkka's most wanted. This was Cube at his best. I never really saw him as racist, more like pro black. His target audience was black so he was just getting his message to them. I doubt he really considered white listeners at the time, but i can see how people could take his lyrics that way.

Cant argue with you there man, i'd forgot about that. I was thinking specifically about racism toward whites, but yeah he did give the Koreans and Jews a hard time. Although i think at the time it was kinda the thing to talk shit about Korean store owners wasnt it? Do you remember that Spike Lee movie when that Black dude goes crazy in the Korean store because they cant understand him? What was that movie called, anyone?
