Hell yea, I'm very interested in the soundtrack. Should be worth peeping. And on top of that, a new solo El-P album is on the way! I thought the beats on Fan Dam were a step up from Cold Vein. I hope he steps up his game again.

I wouldn't say a step up, it was more a development of one part of his style. He used mainly Raspberry Fields/Ridiculoid type distortion based production on FD, to the point where he was basing songs purely on white noise with a drum loop over the top (i.e. Accidents Don't Happen, amazing beat). None of, or at least not much of the spacey, ambient stuff he brought on The Cold Vein, which was the best stuff.

I meant as far as his evolution as a producer. Judging him from Funcrusher to Fan Dam. If you've followed him through his career it's been great to see him grow as a producer. I'm looking for the same progress with these albums.

Well like I said I only really think he expanded on one area in FD, whereas The Cold Vein was much more varied. Co Flow's stuff sounds real old-fashioned when you put it against post-Jux El. Not in a bad way though.

I'm hoping the next Ox album will be like that Weathermen single he produced, Same As It Never Was. It sounded like the ****in world was ending droolio

only 15 tracks??

Yup, they need 'Collude/Intrude' by Co Flow on there. That track was on a skateboard video i once saw. Really went well with skateboard footage. Classic track.

That's awesome that "Oh No" is on there. That's one of the first songs I ever heard that was actually good hip hop.

what deck said ✅

whats good?

that rawkus looks straight fire basing from the songs...

is the quality improved or remastered?

Here's that Rawkus album for the KMC fam. Everybody should get this album, imo. If not buy it, at least d/l it to check it out. Especially if you weren't around for the "Rawkus years". They dominated the underground in the late 90's, and are a huge part of what it is today.

Enjoy.

why are there so many tracks with Def on it, i love his music, but why so many.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip_Hop

"Hip hop is a cultural movement that began among urban African Americans, Jamaicans and Latinos in the Bronx borough of New York City during the early 1970s, and has since spread around the world. The four main aspects, or "elements," of hip hop culture are MCing (rapping), DJing, graffiti, and breakdancing."

Marketing. He's the most famous from the label, so they're trying to capitalize on his fame.

Dude that album is amazing! I would happily upload it for you but with my connection it would take 3 to 4 days. It should be pretty easy to get hold of though and because its pretty old it should be relatively cheap. Its a must have! "Respiration" is incredible.
