Trust, I deal with racism all the time too. My skin is brown so I've been there man. I've been called slurs from white folk, watched like i'm some thief in department stores, ect ect. So it's not something that's new to me, or something that I don't understand. Indeed racism is alive, but that doesn't mean we should resort to it. Live and learn I guess.
About our disagreements pertaining to hip-hop, I look at it this way. Some of my music you think is wack, and I think some of your music is, too. But then there are artists we both enjoy. Biggie, Big L, Kool G... So when I talk shit about the Dips I aint hatin on you kid. I just don't like the dips... or whoever it may be. The reason why I have questioned you before is that you question a lot of others about their hip-hop knowledge. So I think it's fair you are questioned also. Not that you're fake, but it's only fair...
We both love hip-hop though so there's no need to beef. Let's just accept we're different, and respect that. No more personal attacks. You can call my music wack, and vice versa because that's opinion. But it shouldn't go any further than that.
Word up, i don't live in Ny anymore, I live in Boston just graduated from college in Dec. 05 but Ny's my heart. Born in Brooklyn in '77..Flatbush ave, baby..and racism is still rampant but it doesn't affect me cause naturally I tend not to be seen with people who lack a higher algebra and have ignorance. And to be ignorant is to not know. I wanna be around people who know..
I feel sorry for racist people more than i feel offended. And that's the fact that being racist is not good for business either. Any type of business.

i just recently had my own crib, about 2 yrs ago. i hail harlem nigga but i kinda grew up on queens too. pops is a harlem cat(real grimey dude too, i shit you not) my moms side of the family are all from queens. moms and pops are divorced so they kinda decided to share us kids every year, lol! queens is a nice place but i aint feeling it. it got the most extremes of people... the suburb peeps (my mom's fam) are the most boring type of people in all NY and the hood niggas mostly ravenswood, jamaica (50's hood), 41st side (queensboro) are the grimiest shadiest evil muf*ckas youll ever encounter. that's why i chose harlem because peeps here are the coolest, flyest dudes in all ny.
i love NY to the full extent tho, that's why i got love for the 6 boros (harlem = 6th)

I like that last line..But yea, I do miss NY of course. All my pops side of the fam are over there, but I do go when I have the chance. I was even think about moving back now that I'm done with school but I recently visited South Beach, Miami and fell in love with the place, man and so I was thinking of moving down there too but I don't know, theres mad s**. I still got time to think about it though.

One thing i love about this thread is that even when we do disagree (which is bound to happen) it never gets personal (unless it -hh- n Jacope).
Yeah racism is a female dog but it aint goin nowhere as long as parents teach their kids that the color of someones skin matters. I grew up in London and my area was mostly white skin heads, i got my head stomped good when i was 13 on my way home from school by a gang of skin heads who didnt like the way i looked. My dad went crazy when i got home, he went out lookin for them but never found them. All you can do in the long run is live your life the best you can and pass down the message to your kids (when you have them) that we are all one race - the human race.

And I hate the snow. But then again all my peeps are in NY and I don't wanna stray to far but I can always visit but not as often as if I were closer or in NY, but I hit the beaches in Jan-Feb out there, but there are better jobs in NY, but it's strees free in Miami..
