RJD2 is my favorite producer underground or mainstream because I can listen to his instrumentals only and not get bored. I like the beat from Tipsy by the Trackboys but I can't listen to it alone without getting bored.. but I could listen to The Horror by RJD2 all day.

RJD2 is one of the most talented. Deadringer is a classic album. he also has a really nice website.

"chippin" is such a quasimoto type song. only madlib can make that beat tight. lol I cant believe how tight this album is going to be. anyone hear it yet?

I love Stones Throw.

not yet

here's Tonedeffs new covers

Kno is one of the best producers 👆

dre is good, but not the best producer.

best producers:

Madlib
MF DOOM
RJD2
El-P
DJ Premier
DJ Khali
DJ Abiliites

etc etc...

See I don't rate Doom all that much as a producer. I mean sure he's come up with some mighty catchy beats; Rhymes Like Dimes, The Finest & Deep Fried Frenz being my favorites, but the whole 80's gameshow kinda vibe he uses can sometimes just sound cheesy. Besides, beats wise, the best albums he's done were Vaudeville Villain and Madvillainy, neither of which were produced by him.

And my faves are:

DJ Shadow
Dan The Automator
Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind
Kno
Madvillain
RJD2
Blockhead
DJ Krush
Prefuse 73

left alot out cuz i was in a rush

but great list to continue 👆

I just bought the Jedi Mind Tricks Violent By Design Deluxe Edition. Now I need to find a DVD player...

I agree.. madlib is better than Doom. That's why I like Madvillain.

jus allah needs to come back

I agree...while I like Legacy of Blood it doesn't compare to VBD. If Jus Allah came back it be great but JMT and Allah seem to not be on good terms. Hopefully JMT will at least get another to emcee to work with Vinnie as most of the best tracks in LOB had Vinnie and another emcee.

My favorite producers in no particular order:

mcenroe
DJ Shadow
Madlib
Chief Xcel
Metal Fingers
Jay Dee (Jay Dilla)
Prefuse 73
El-P
Blockhead
Kno
RJD2
Cut Chemist
Necro

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of at 1:00am.

I was reading the stones throw forums and there is a thread saying that MF Doom appeared on Carson Daily. But I don't know exactly why. I didn't see it. Anyone see it?

yea. check page 51 and 52. excellent performance by doom and de la soul.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT UP AFRO CHEESE!!!
