outside of kanye west, common, and nas the mainstream market is pretty much ass right now. sure, theres some shitty underground comin out as well, but thats always the case with music. you take the good with the bad.

jay-z in my opinion does "suck" but only based on how consistent he has been...and compared to nas (as many seem to do) he's not on the same level.

whatever man, we obviously like rap for different reasons. ill give you luda and bun b though, outkast too. im tryin to teach myself to stop separating mainstream and undergound shit and this isnt really helping but mos def mainstream? i guess i could see ghostface cuz ive seen his videos on tv n shit but i always figured wu as an indie group, but not mos.

Volume 1, Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint are all better then any Nas album not named Illmatic (outside of Reasonable Doubt which is better 😛).

And how is a guy who does shows on 106 and Park, movies, goes gold on every album, and gets regular rotation on TV not considered mainstream?

i disagree, the only jay album better than any nas album (excluding Illmatic) is Reasonable Doubt. Blueprint is waaaay too overrated in my opinion.

And i dislike Wayne, and TI. Luda on the other hand has alot of potential lyrically.

It doesn't work that way. If you want to play "one good album", then add Enimem as a God. And TI does suck, so does Wayne, Luda has potential, but hasn't tapped it.
