my top 5 mc's in my opinion:

1. Gza
2. Nas
3. Rakim
4. Common
5. Ice Cube (old school ice cube)

50 cent doesn't even make my top 100

Nice list, Here's mine:

1.Big L
2Nasty Nas
3.Rae kwan the chef
4.Big Daddy Kane
5.Mos Def (At times)

Though my list changes from time to time, except for the top two.

Ghostface Killah- MUCH more consistant than GZA is.
KRS-One- Simply amazing.
Ice Cube- If you're from Compton, he HAS to be on your list.
Rakim- Everyone knows why.
Talib Kweli- Great.

any one know what song this is [URL=http://youtube.com/watch?v=TXYdgElruqg[/URL]

(p.s. that guy got bopped silly)

People need to stop lying to themselves and admit

Supreme Clientele and Ironman are the only 2 Ghostface albums worth talking about (unless you count Cuban Linx which I DON'T).

Everything else by him has been hot ass

taste comes in variety, if we all had the same taste in the music, there would be no point in having discussions.

i enjoyed every single ghost album, even that album/mixtape with trife da god was good.

fishscale was incredible, ironman and supreme clientele were classic, bulletproof wallets and pretty tony were good. overall, ghost has a top notch discography.

it all has to do with preference.

word, but Ghost better than GZA? i just dont know about that

again it's preference, Gza is my favorite mc. Ghostface is a more colorful mc than Gza.

ahh, nice sig man, i was just thinking about that album, and some of the reviews i was reading was bashing the production on the album, this guy was saying that the album's beats loop too much. i kinda held back on getting the album cuz i saw where they were coming from when i went back and listened to it. i still like it and im thinking about coping it. what do you think man?

also what do you guys think about Xzibit and Coolio? I was looking through my parents old CDs and ironically i came across Relentless and Gangsta's Paradise.

i thought Grandmasters was sick. here's how i would rank the Gza albums

1. Liquid Swords
2. Beneath the Surface
3. Grandmasters
4. Words of the Genius
5. Legend of the Liquid Swords (i found it to be kinda of a piontless album for Gza, it was good but not wat i expected)

as for Coolio and Xzibit, coolio had a few good songs here and there. i liked his song with ras kass called 'drama'.

xzibit's album 'speed of life' is a classic.

i've always liked xzibit, but he never really gets mentioned, like you dont really hear bout
him that often in hip-hop or at least not anymore. me personally i think hes almost done with hip-hop, seeing as how hes branching off into acting or at least i think thats what hes doing. Paparazzi is a sick track btw.

Nice list, Liquid Swords is great 👆

how would you list all the Wu Classics?

all the wu classics? hmmm i'll just name top 5 wu classics

it usually changes order but right now ima say

1. Gza- Liquid Swords
2. Ghostface- Ironman
3. Raekwon- Cuban Linx
4. Inspectah Deck- Uncontrolled Substance (i didn't like it at first, but it grew on me
5. U-God- Golden Arms Redemption

I think everything Xzibit did up until his last album wasn't that bad. Even Man Vs Machine had a few semi-decent tracks.

I think Restless was his last good album though.

yea Relentless was. anyone heard his new single? the sample gets very annoying, but it's different compared to the average mainstream hip hop song.
