Im listening to it right now, its definitely a solid album but "best in 5 yrs" is a bit much imo. I'd never heard of these cats before but i really like the lyrics and production, lately it seems to be either great beats or great lyrics - very rarely both together. Gotta give props for that alone, i can see myself having this on rotation for a long time.

^ Nope, why?
Just got my copy of the Mr J Medeiros album and its a real keeper. Pretty minimal production, but that works with his easy to follow flow and smart to the point lyrics. He also shows that you can make a great hip hop album without cursing and patting himself on the back every 10 seconds (i love that shit by the way but its nice to hear something different). I can see this one staying in the car CD player for quite a while. Standout track is obviously Constance but there are some other really great tracks on there like Silent Earth, Change, Keep Pace and Strangers. Well worth a look if you havent already heard it.
My current rotation
1. Mr J Medeiros - Of gods and girls
2. Gza - Liquid Swords
3. Dead Prez - Lets get free
4. Five Deez - Kinkynasti
5. Aesop Rock - None shall pass (still trying to decipher that dudes rhymes).
