Really? Wow must pick up Big Doe ASAP then, as Fishscale was almost on a par with Supreme Clientele for me.

Ras isn't really underrated
his production is just a sin against humanity

He's a good rapper, terrible recording artist.

Kinda reminds me of Kurupt, except without the stellar production and a more annoying voice.

I recommend the following SONGS (he can't really make that good an album tbh)

Goldyn Chyld/that's Gangsta
Goldyn Chyld remix
Jack Frost
Interview with a Vamp
Nature of the Threat
Van Gough
Write Where I Left Off
Hot Game
ETC
Understandable Smooth

My personal favorite is TV Guide though

"YOU SEE EVERYBODY LOVE RAYMOND HE CAUCASIAN HE OWN THE PLANTATION"

Hip hop? **** dat shit, call it by da real term. Rap niggas, none of dat whitey as bullshit. Tryna make rap civilized, fuk dat, imposible.

listen to 9 Elements by KRS-One, before you start runnin your mouth..

I seen Common at an airport once, didn't even know it was him.

I see a distinction between Hip Hop and Rap. And as far as Hip Hop goes, my mans Common is holdin it down, imo.

Pimp C and Spice 1 both passed away this week.

pimp c died? shit man, that sucks.

6. The Heart Gently Weeps - "He wouldn't let go the joint, so i ****ing bite him" ghosts verse is ****ing classic 4.5/5

ghost reminded me of cage a little bit on that heart track

IIRC, Spice 1 was just in critical condition. No more UGK though, that's pretty sad.

Anyone given this a listen yet?

I actually like it better than anything off of either the "Fish" albums, production wise.

the new ghostface is great. its as good as the fish albums. i kinda like the beats on Fish more though.

What would be the best Ghostface album to start with?

for a mainstream taste, i would say Pretty Toney and Bulletproof Wallets

but i recommend Ironman, Supreme Clientele and Fishscale.

just finished listening to the new Lupe album. it's great but he REALLY REALLY dumbed down the lyrics.

He didn't dumb down the lyrics, he improved his GO GO GO GO GO GO GADGET FLOW

and breath control

and production

and everything

Best album since The Fix

🙂

you really think so? there are some really boring tracks on there. no life to them. Food & Liquor was more interesting.

any news on the new Scarface?

His lyrics were hardly that complex in the first place. I liked Food & Liquor, but IMO it only really had five standout tracks. I'll give his new one a listen but I'm not expecting much.

I think the new Wu is starting to grow on me. RZA even said in an interview that that's what he was trying to get at, growers. You definitely can't listen to in that Protect Ya Neck mindset. It's a little more mellow and a little more subtle but i'm starting to feel tracks like Wolves, Get Them Out The Way, and Campfire.

I really enjoyed Lupe Fiasco's new album. His lyrics still hit (maybe not as much as FNL), but his songs are definitely catchier this time around.
