Not really, I've heard plenty of better freestylers. In a shorter mano-e-mano battle, Eminem would probably win, but when it comes to fully-formed freestyles, Canibus is in a different league to Em. He's an overhyped, overrated pop-star now, he's never had the vocabulary to compete with Bis, or countless other less famous MC's.

Plus, that stuff in 8 Mile isn't anything special. He's just putting rhyming couplets together.

i think eminem got major skills. he is smart and he did kill in 8 mile. i have not heard 50 or jada freestyle so i dont really no.

8 Mile was scripted.. regardless if he wrote the lyrics or not, it wasn't a freestyle, because a freestyle is supposed to be right off the top of the dome. Since they had the whole thing written into the script, it was just a written verse that was supposed to sound like a freestyle.

Listen to Murda Muzik and Infamy, they fill in the gaps, as in showing the decline of quality. But yeah it's still strange hearing a flowtastic higher-voiced Prodigy and a still energetic Havoc dropping amazing lines with Ghostface Killah, Nas and Q-Tip over dark, raw, jazzy beats one minute, then a deep-voiced, drugged up Prodigy and sluggish, bored-sounding Havoc cliche-ing their way through uninspired bubblegum hip-pop beats with Twista and Lil Jon the next. How the mighty have fallen.

as for Mobb Deep, yea i've heard Infamy (dissapointed), and Murda Muzik was average.

a few days before Encore was released, Eminem and Sway (from the Wake Up Show) had a small cypher. Sway dropped his lines, and Eminem couldn't even compete. no challenge. Eminem did worse than Sway. He declined lyrically, and he has nothing new to say.
