Starcraft

I just installed this on my comp. together with Brood War. I've never played it before since I've only been into FPS games on the PC, but do you think I could possibly get better at this game? I know it's a weird question, but I played Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, Battle Realms, etc. and I just can't get better. Is it possibly due to my strategy-free head?

My suggestion is play online, talk with other people there and see what they do. Observe games. It helps a lot.

Are you having trouble with single player or multiplayer or custom games?

Well just tried it. So far I started the first episode as Terran. I'm doing fair I guess. On level 7. Real fun but it takes me a while. Anyway it's cool. I wonder how long I'll get till I reach Brood War expansion.

as for getting better, you might wanna check out http://www.battle.net/scc for some general information about strategies and such. i just got better by adapting those strategies and developing my own.

Well the single player is hard if you never played Starcraft....the later missions with the other species...remember to save a shitload.

play online its a lot more fun, and your game will improve a lot, although playing vs people and vs comp entails very different strategy

I last played that game a couple of years ago. I didnt evber play it online though

Agreed, trying to be pro at first = disaster.

Its bloody hard to trying to be good. I havnt played this game in awhile. I might actually reinstall it.

I play pretty piss-poor still. But I can probably play good if I was teamed-up with someone.

Play the first 3 missions of each race a few times in a row to help you become familiar.

Does anyone out there enjoy playing regular maps? I do, but sometimes I think I'm the only one as no one on bnet seems to make anything other than FA$$TE$T all the time and they always whine like babies when I host a game thats not FA$$TE$T. crybabies

I am wondering if the Brood War Protoss form a federation of some sort. Because I wrote in a Vs. thread here: Protoss Federation battlegroup (Brood War) vs. Venator-class ship.

lol those fastest maps are the death of Starcraft Pro players.
