Yeah, personally I like the cafe idea because even though this thread and the challenge thread allow for inter-house communication they are still really quite formal and the cafe allows for much freer interaction. Plus, if we posted sillyness in here it would seem completely unnecessary and clutter up the threads - it depends though on what Phoenix thinks and if the Heads are ok with it because at the end of the day it really is just a chat thread.
I can see where you're coming from - especially from a non participating member's view or even for newbies who come along. It will seem like there's a clique in this forum that's taking over cluttering up the space and it may seem uninviting which is the last thing we want to do - to put off potential members.

If any one should compete with Slytherin, then it should be Hufflepuff. Or my mathematic sucks !I got too many drinks, and that sorting hat sings perfectly well in the Hogwart caffe!

Unicor, trust me you were not the only one who didn't like the votes, I, Thorondor and Exa at least thought Hufflepuff were cheated but at the end of the day we can't complain just because our votes weren't the ones that were reflected when thhey tallied up the votes for all four Houses because that would be like complaining just because don't get our own way. They are really just opinions and our opinions are no more important then anyone elses, just because we liked or didn't like something doesn't mean that everybody has to agree with our taste. I was very surprised at some of the scores personally but obviously other people don't see or judge things the same way as I do and I read somewhere that Hufflepuff didnt actually judge because they didn't have prefects hence Rogue and Tassie had to intervene and judged for them which might have affected it or maybe it was something else.
As for the Slytherin and Gryffindor tie I think that was before deductions at the end of the challenge - according to their scores Gryff would have won without averaging and Slyth would have won with averaging and because people were complaining either way they just tied them as winners of the challenge. However after deductions which has nothing to do with the challenge then yes in the general point system it's hufflepuff competing in second place with Slytherin but the general point scores like i said are mutually exclusive with the challenges - the challenges affect them of course but other Houses can still be in the lead even if they didn't win a challenge or vice versa - does that make sense?
