Sirius in Sorcerer's Stone
I've just started reading The Sorcerer's Stone again for the second time, but this time I noticed that Sirius Black's name was mentioned in the first chapter. Hagrid stated that Sirius let Hagrid borrow his motorcycle, but I have a question about this. If Sirius gave Hagrid his motorcycle that day, when did he get accused of handing the Potter's to Voldemort? Any thoughts (or correct answers because I missed something later on)?
Well Hagrid met Sirius at the Potter's house right after Voldermort had killed Lily and James. And Sirius told Hagrid to take his bike (this was all before anybody started thinking Sirius was guilty of anything). Then Sirius went looking for peter, and during that time is when people started pointing fingers I think. Most of that info is in the 3rd book, i'm not sure which chapter, but its the same one where Harry finds out how close Sirius and James were
Wow. Well, thanks, everyone, for answering my question. I should have never doubted J. K. Rowling. She always fills in the holes. I have read all the books, but now I'm reading them all again for the second time. I just missed the importance of the motorcycle thing the first time I read The Sorcerer's Stone, because I didn't know exactly who Sirius was at the time. I'm almost through with the first one, I guess I had better go finish it!
Yeh, i read HP and the PS/SS and i noticed and I felt really sorry for him!
but all they say about him is:
"Hagrid,"said Dumbledore, sounding relieved. "At last. And where did you get that motorcycle?"
"Borrowed it, Proffessor Dumbledore, sir," said the giant...(bla bla bla)
"Young Sirius Black lent it to me."
Yep, I think Luna said something to harry about the veil and the voices he heard, something that sounded encouraging to him. Although we do not know that Siriuse died,Lupin never said so, no one said except Dumbeldore when he tried to explain to Harry. But, Dumbeldore might have had his reasons for not telling Harry the truth (lied to him), cuase in that state Harry would have ran to save him and expose him self on danger again.
But, If JK wants the books to be read in 10, 20, 30, 40 years, u must have some tragic incidents... so we might expect some one from the trio to die and Dumbeldore for sure
