I think Sirius deserved to die in OOTP. I mean, we all know that he is reckless and known to act rashly. He had been like that throughout his life. When he tracked Wormtail down after the killing of the Potters, why didn't he tell Wormtail's betrayal to Lupin, for instance? Or made it known to believable man, like Dumbledore? He just went tracking down Wormtail all alone, not even planning for the worst. He also made himself vulnerable to childish taunts from Snape. It's just the same when he's fighting the Bellatrix woman, before slipping through the veil. It's not that I don't like him, it's just that he's sooooo reckless........

NO, HE DID NOT DESERVED IT!
He had to suffer through all those years he was in Azkaban. How would you feel if everyone told you you betrayed your best friends and you are the reason of their death? I don't think anyone can imagine this. Suffering 12 years in a place where there is only you and your worst memories and feelings. He would have deserved to live and to finally be happy.
