NOTICE:
Hey everyone 🙂, just writing to let you know that we at Gryffindor like your Song idea for the next challenge and would like to go ahead with it. The only additional rules we'd like to add are: one entry per House and when it's time to judge only one prefect does the judging and can not judge their own House.
Other then that, when you are ready, please officially post the Challenge idea, any guidelines, deadline and your scoring system into the Official Challenge thread and the seperate House threads for reference.

hey AD, you are now the official Slytherin Prefect! you should now take over... you now have the honor of posting the announcement officially on the Inter-House Challenge thread.
Griffindor says these are the initial rules:
1. Only 1 Song Entry Per House
2. Only 1 Prefect per house will judge
3. Each Judging Prefect will judge only the entries of the 3 other houses, meaning he/she will NOT be allowed to judge the entry from his/her own house.
with regard to the deadline, let's not rush this one again - i think we should give it more time in consideration of our schedules - we're not online all the time.
as for Guidelines - any suggestions?
Scoring System - Originality should again count for much - anything else?
gryffindors have a pretty good one started.. i think they are wanting a head start for some reason
AD.. ur prefect.. go to the gryffindors and give them our set of rules and see if they agree.. then pm it to rogue or tassie.. whoever. if it hasnt already been done.

Before we can do the songs, we must clarify the guidleines & scoring system first!
I suggest the following guidelines:
1. The Song's theme should (of course) be connected to anything Harry Potter.
2. The lyrics of the Song should make sense and must be amusing and done in good fun.
3. The Song must not contain bad language/words/phrases that may offend any members of KMC - personally.
4. The Song should be "at least" 2 stanzas/verses, having "at least" 4 lines per stanza, plus a chorus.
5. The Song should be made to the tune of a popular song, so that most people will be able to hum along with it.
To get the ball rolling, here's an example that we got from mugglenet:

I want to ask if everybody agrees to the guidelines, pls feel free to object to any of it. Once we have an agreement, AD can communicate it with the Griffindors.
The Griffindors can comment & make objections, then make a settlement among themselves & our AD - then after that, we post whatever's been agreed on in the inter-house challenge thread.
OK, to make it simple, we can just use nursery rhymes - they're universally popular & simpler. Here's a good example, but we cant use this one coz I just stole it from a local HP group:

Just get the original lyrics from the web & replace them with interesting HP stuff, right?

I dont know about you but if we make something good enuf, we can submit it to mugglenet - and start a career in the music industry? 😛
Okay, regarding the deduction of points. We aren't taking any from u guys. Just to clear that up. Sorry for the confusion. 😮
Secondly, I see that you guys are still voting for your Prefects. (Congrats to AD for boy Prefect) Are you still waiting for people to vote for girl Prefect?? If so, I suggest you cut your lost, and decide and that the voting will stop, say tomorrow and whoever is the highest is the new girl Prefect. We really need you guys to have your prefects, so this is just a a suggest. (I come in peace) 😄
