but there is a web site sorting-hat.com where you can take a placement test. well I got slytherin and my bro got Hufflepuff so I always tease him. But I also make fun and call him a Gryffindor too. 😆

I've been commissioned to take my littlest brother to various films before. When we were in Ice Age he started chucking the sultanas at the people in the frount row! *cringes*

alright guys, basically the challenge is to create a new, one of a kind unique character that fits into the harry potter series somehow. we need to provide a description, and a brief story outline about their family, house, relation to harry, etc.

heres the announcement as follows:

Each house would have to create a new character for the book. We would need to know what the person looks and acts like, and how they would fit into the story line. A name and maybe which house the were/are in

Lets use Lily Potter as a demonstration
Name: Lily Evans
Eyes: Green
Hair: Red
House: Gryffindor
Personality: Lily is very strong on her morals. If she thinks something is wrong she will step in as soon as possible to try to fight it, etc.
**This should be about . . . 6 sentences at least I think so we could get a good grip on the character
Story: Then the story part is where people can go crazy. . make up a new part of the Harry Potter story with the character in it. Or, just explain how the character would fit into the story and the importance they have to the plot

It could occur any time period, as long as they do something to help move the plot of the story. If we made a new person during harry's time she/he could know where voldemort was hiding. and for the M(oony, etc etc.)WPP's time, the person might've gotten james and lily together

The character needs to have helped move the plot in the past, future, or have helped the plot get to where it is now.

well i think this one'll be a cinch =] here's the grading rubric too if you lot are interested:
Judging

* description of the character (ie is it creative? are there many details? etc) : 10 pts
* originality of the character's role (ie isn't it too similar to somebody else's personality or role? would the char be significant for the wizard world?) : 15 pts
* accordance (ie is the author sticking to the facts? could this character possibly exist or is it rather absurd and contradicting the basic storyline of the books? does the char add something interesting to the main story?) : 10 pts
* mechanics (ie not too many typos, correct grammar, readable text etc) : 5 pts
* overall impression (selfexplaining ^^) : 10 pts
